Georges Pauget

Georges Pauget spent most of his career at the Crédit Agricole Group. He held positions of responsibility at Crédit Agricole S.A. and its subsidiaries before serving as Chief Executive of several Crédit Agricole Regional Banks and then, in 2003, of Crédit Lyonnais.

Georges Pauget was Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole S.A. and Chairman of LCL (ex-Crédit Lyonnais) and Crédit Agricole-CIB from 2005 to February 2010 and Chairman of Amundi to February 2011. He was also chairman of Viel and Co until March 2012.

He is currently Honorary Chairman of LCL and Chairman of Economie, Finance et Stratégie S.A.S.

Holder of a PhD in Economics, Georges Pauget lectures at Paris Dauphine University and Institut d’Etudes Politiques and Beijing University and won the 2010 Turgot Prize for the best financial economics book with " La Banque de l’Après Crise".
