Abstract（提要）：This paper utilizes rank-dependent expected utility (RDEU) functional over continuous two-stage lotteries to explore Schoemaker paradox. We analyze two versions of EU and RDEU on two-stage lotteries according to the reduction of compound lotteries axiom (RCLA) and the compound independence axiom (CIA). The two EU functionals are equivalent each other, while the two RDEU functionals are different. The RDEU functional under CIA can be used to examine and explain Schoemaker paradox. The decision-maker's choice on Schoemaker paradox depends upon the RDEU distortion function and the corresponding von Neumann-Morgenstern utility function.

About the speaker（汇报人介绍）：张顺明教授1988年毕业于华中师范大学数学系,1993年和1996年在中国科学院系统科学钻研所别离获得硕士和博士学位，1996-2000年在清华大学经济治理学院金融系任讲师和副教授，2000-2005年在加拿大西安粗略大学经济系任接赐教授和钻研员，2005-2006年在新西兰惠灵顿维多利亚大学经济金融学院任钻研员，2006-2009年在乐山大学经济学院任特聘教授，2009年任中国人民大学财政金融学院教授。2008年他获得国度卓越青年科学基金赞助。
